Don’t miss the chance to join this informative and interactive webinar, when CFA member Coopcoffees will present its pilot project implementing the Cool Farm Tool with coffee-farmer cooperative partners in Peru, Honduras and Guatemala.
Carbon, Climate and Coffee: Moving the Needle from Cool Farms to Environmental Service Premiums.
Save the Date: Thursday, June 18th from 11:00 to 12:30 EDT. REGISTER HERE
The project, led by an interdisciplinary and collaborative team of people and organizations, aims to:
- assess net carbon sequestration in coffee farmer fields;
- illustrate how coffee, when organically cultivated as an agroforestry system, can function as a climate change solution; and ultimately,
- encourage collaboration in the face of our collective “climate crisis” across the coffee supply chain.
During the webinar, you can expect to: meet the project team; hear from coffee-farmer cooperative leaders and get a sampling of the innovative field practices they’re implementing in the face of climate change; watch a demonstration of the Cool Farm Tool; join in a Q&A on how this can help us assess and reward farmers for the environmental services they provide, and, last but not least, learn about upcoming opportunities to get involved and/or stay informed as this work evolves.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
