Welcome our new Members in October 2020

We are delighted to welcome our new members that have joined the Cool Farm Alliance in October 2020 and look forward to strengthening and developing our Alliance together.

Agxiata

Agxiata provides integrated AI-ML enabled software for the advancement of environmental sustainability and financial resilience within the agricultural sector. It leverages advances in digital, analytical and communication technologies, as well as those in environmental and agricultural science.

Furthermore, Agxiata is a strong proponent of building sustainable social capital in food and agriculture through:

  • The incredible transformative power of Collaboration, Simplification, Training and Ethics.
  • Building meaningful and technologically enabled local communities across the developed and emerging world; communities which are supportive of farmers’ efforts to derive sustainable value and a sense of belonging; communities that are informed, inclusive and civically engaged, rapidly advancing environmental sustainability and financial resilience.

Understanding one’s net carbon figure and how different farming practices affect it is an important input in our efforts for evaluating alternative road-maps towards Net Zero and beyond. Hence, the CFT will play an important role in our endeavour for encouraging change and delivering environmental sustainability.

Carbon Metrics

Carbon Metrics are direct to farm and estate advisors who help business owners understand the benefits of reducing their carbon footprint from both a business and environmental point of view. We believe that the sustainability of these businesses is linked directly to the decisions made at a holistic level across all of their enterprise and that environmental management and profit should not be seen to work against each other.

The Cool Farm Tool gives us the ability to accurately assess how the business is performing using carbon as the metric to drive discussions. It helps us to show where within the enterprise improvements and mitigation can take place to improve the sustainability of these systems while providing a proven and reliable auditing tool to make these assessments.

The use of the CFT fits in with Carbon Metrics ethos of always looking forward for best practice and using the best science and terminology to get the agricultural industry understand and appreciate best practices that help drive agricultural emissions to Net Zero and beyond.
