How arable farms can aim for net zero

Kellogg’s, a Cool Farm Alliance member for many years, has used the Cool Farm Tool to simulate the effect of different changes in management practices and their potential to reduce carbon emissions from agricultural production.

In a recent study, Kellogg’s has shown that introducing realistic changes to management practices on farm can make a significant contribution to meeting UK farming’s ambitious goal of reaching net zero by 2040. Up to a 60% reduction in net emissions can be achieved through pragmatic changes by focusing on the most productive areas of the farm, while maintaining yield and financial performance.
