Cool Farm is hiring – Science & Methods Manager + Administration & Finance Coordinator

The Cool Farm Alliance (CFA) is a growing membership organisation with 118 members and partners who collaboratively work together toward sustainable agriculture. The Alliance runs an online platform free for farmers – the Cool Farm Tool – that measures the footprint of agriculture practice with a focus on greenhouse gases, biodiversity, food loss & waste and water quantity. It is recognised as one of the world’s leading farm impact calculators, and empowers businesses and growers globally to make more informed on-farm decisions to combat the climate crisis and reduce their environmental impact.

Science and Methods Manager

We are expanding the Cool Farm Alliance management team and are looking for a Science and Methods Manager to support the activities of the Research Advisory Board and to lead the maintenance and further development of the methods embedded in the Cool Farm Tool.

The candidate must be comfortable working with a dynamic, multi-stakeholder membership organisation and on a product that sits at the juncture between emerging science, quantification methods for a range of ecosystem services and software product development and delivery.

This is a full time, employed position with opportunities for flexibility. The role is home-based, desirable to be located in Europe and requires the ability for international travel around 4 times a year.

Administration and Finance Coordinator

The Cool Farm Alliance has grown rapidly over the last and has reached a point where it needs to strengthen its process governance and administration. Therefore, we are looking for an Administration and Finance Coordinator to support the activities of the Alliance and to lead the development and maintenance of the CFA management processes.

Reporting to the CFA General Manager, this role will lead the day-to-day financial coordination as well as administration of CFA activity, which will involve working closely with the various CFA Committees, management team and the broader CFA membership and partners.

The role requires a proactive, dynamic approach coupled with excellent attention to detail and is key to the success in the team’s ability to coordinate and deliver against the range of projects and services that the Cool Farm Alliance is involved in.
