Agricultura Regeneratio

Agricultura Regeneratio is a Swiss Association, founded in 2019, with the aim to promote regenerative agriculture and regenerative food systems. Our members represent the entire food value chain, with a focus on farms. We offer training and coaching and work with processors and input suppliers to establish regenerative food value chains. We have launched a brand to promote products from regenerative farms, based on outcome monitoring and animal welfare checks. We plan to use CFT as one element to monitor progress at the farm level and to help farmers reduce climate footprint and improve biodiversity. Our aim is to strengthen the scientific foundation of regenerative agriculture and would like to add value to CFA.

ClimatePartner

ClimatePartner is delighted to be joining as a member of the Cool Farm Alliance to further accelerate the decarbonisation of agricultural supply chains. ClimatePartner is a leading solutions provider for climate action. It was founded in Munich in 2006. Today, it has over 300 employees across Europe and the US and works with more than 4,000 companies in over 35 countries. ClimatePartner helps companies calculate and reduce carbon emissions, as well as offset unavoidable emissions, enabling them to become Carbon Neutral.

As a result of this membership, ClimatePartner aims to provide more tailored support to its clients in gathering quality primary data for on-farm emissions, to identify hotspots and develop impactful carbon reduction strategies. We also hope to support the Cool Farm Alliance in further developing its methodologies and improving its solution to provide those crucial insights necessary to transition this hard-to-decarbonise sector to Net Zero.

Blue Diamond Growers

Blue Diamond Growers, a grower-owned cooperative representing over 3,000 of California’s almond growers, is the world’s leading almond marketer and processor. Established in 1910, Blue Diamond® provides high-quality almonds, almond ingredients and branded products. Headquartered in Sacramento, the company employs more than 1,800 people throughout its processing plants, receiving stations and gift shops. In 2020, Blue Diamond Growers launched a financial incentive to encourage its growers to implement the California Almond Sustainability Program, a resource of the Almond Board of California. The top tier incentive payment also requires the use of the Cool Farm Tool. The Cool Farm Tool serves as an educational tool for the farmers to increase their knowledge and understanding of sustainable practices.

DSM Nutritional Products AG

The way we, as a society, produce and consume food contributes to major global challenges, including climate change, malnutrition, and poverty. We already see the big impacts of climate change right here, right now. Collectively, we need to rethink our food systems – from start to finish, and from ‘farm to fork’. At DSM, we have the opportunity, the capability and therefore the responsibility to contribute to this transformation and to help our customers do the same. After all, with our solutions already making a positive difference to 2.5 billion people, we are a global leader in the science behind better health and nutrition. Creating strategic partnerships, such as the one with the Cool Farm Alliance, supports us in our ambition.

ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd

ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd. is a leading global commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company. As an origin-integrated business operating in more than 40 countries globally, ECOM focuses primarily on coffee, cotton and cocoa.

ECOM has signed on to the Science Based Target Initiative and has committed to reaching Net Zero by 2050. Joining the Cool Farm Alliance will help us understand our farm-level greenhouse gas emissions, and prioritise actions to reduce GHG footprint and increase climate resilience for our farmers. As we train our farmers and help them to implement regenerative and sustainable practices, the Cool Farm Tool will help us to define a concrete action plan and to measure and track performance at the farm level. We have more than 1500 agronomists already doing extensive field data collection and this tool will add another layer to our analysis to quantify the value of our current practices to further reduce the CO2eq on both certified and conventional farms.

OCI

OCI, a leading producer of nitrogen-based fertilisers, is committed to driving sustainability within our operations and delivering sustainable solutions to our customers. We see the Cool Farm Tool as an important enabler for the adoption of more sustainable practices and products at the farm level. We hope to work with the Cool Farm Alliance to further promote the tool to become a critical source of truth for environmental sustainability data.

ucrop.it

ucrop.it is in business to enable the information flow of global food supply chains, to bring consumers and growers closer together, for a more sustainable and transparent world. We connect, in a simple, digital, and scalable way, growers with companies to agree on sustainable crop production objectives aligned to world-class standards, using blockchain technology for their traceability and the confidential cryptographic storage of the grower’s information. Growers then decide with which companies to share the crop cycle visibility traceability in exchange for favourable commercial conditions and additional incentives for the uploaded information.

Since we are built around sustainability, it is key for us to connect with the Cool Farm Alliance, as leaders in the GHG calculating efforts. Thanks to their collaboration, we will be able to take to the next level our first mile data tracking efforts at the farm level, which is wired to our sustainability strategy to make sustainability happen across millions of hectares worldwide.
